OK, now Beck and Danger Mouse should be a promising collaborations and….it is but a little less punch than I would have expected/hoped for but still one of Beck’s better releases. There are some really special moments within “chemtrails” and the title track. Also, “Soul of a Man” is interesting for its reference to a genuinely deep track from Blind Wille Johnson of the same title; Beck was involved with the fascinatingWim Wenders’ short of the same name…. Remarkably this release is relatively short which is a good thing these days….Beck stands the test of time too…
